BC Care Providers Association- #CareCanBeThere Campaign

On January 24, the BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) announced the release of their report Strengthening Seniors Care: A Made-in-BC Roadmap and media campaign #CareCanBeThere.
The BCCPA is calling for an annual investment of up to $337 million towards four pillars of seniors care:

  • People, including increased direct care hours and minimum home care visits
  • Infrastructure, such as the renewal and replacement of aging BC care homes
  • Quality of Life, including improved access to occupational therapy, and other services
  • Innovation, such as a new Care Credit model and Continuing Care hubs
CAOT-BC applauds BCCPA's recommendations to improve senior's access to occupational therapy, and echoed this call in recent letters to the Vancouver Sun, North Shore News and Tri-City News:
